Celine Galea is a new Hibernians player

Hibernians F.C. are pleased to announce that 24 year old central defender Celine Galea has signed for the club.

 

The former Kirkop United captain, who always played in red and white, last season made 15 appearances, scoring 1 goal. Celine is also a former player of the Maltese National Under 16’s and Under 19’s Women teams.

 

We would like to welcome Celine to the club and wish her the best of luck for the upcoming season.

Raisa Costantino signs for Hibernians

Hibernians F.C. are pleased to announce that 17 year old Maltese International Under 19 goalkeeper Raisa Costantino has signed for the club.

 

The promising goalkeeper has played for Kirkop United in her youth career. In December 2020, she made her debut for the Senior Team, replacing team captain and mother Sharon Costantino on her retirement match. Last season, Raisa played a total of 15 matches.

 

In 2022, she made her debut for the Maltese Women National Under 19 side in a 3-2 victory over Faroe Islands.

Rodianne Zerafa joins Hibernians

Hibernians F.C. are pleased to announce that 24 year old forward Rodianne Zerafa has signed for the club.

 

The young forward has played for Zurrieq and Raiders Għargħur before joining Kirkop United, where she played in the past season.

 

Last year she played 18 matches, scoring 15 goals, an average of 0.83 goals per match. She was also named part of the MFPA’s Best XI.

 

In her 10 year career, the prolific forward managed to score a total of 151 goals. Rodianne also played for the Maltese Women National Under 19 side.

Nicole Sciberras signs for Hibernians

We are delighted to announce the signing of 21 year old Maltese Women International defender, Nicole Sciberras.

 

The young defender started her career at Mosta FC at a young age, before joining Italian side Grifone in 2017. In 2019, Nicole made a big move to Italian giants Juventus and in the same year she became the first Maltese person to score for this big club.

 

Sciberras has also been capped 29 times for the Maltese Women National Team, appearing for the team during the UEFA Women’s Euro 2021 qualifying cycle.

Martina Borg is a new Hibernians player

We are pleased to announce that Maltese International midfielder Martina Borg has signed for Hibernians F.C.

 

Martina started her career with Pembroke Athleta before joining our club in 2014, playing 96 games and scoring 61 goals in the black and white colours. In 2017, she moved to Italian side Apulia Trani and in the following year she joined Fortitudo Mozzecane in the Italian Serie B.

 

In season 2019/20, Martina Borg signed for Sassari Torres in the Italian Serie C, and managed to help the club to win promotion to the Serie B. Last season, she joined Roma Calcio Femminile in the Italian Serie B, to complete her fifth straight season abroad playing 91 matches and scored 15 goals in these 5 seasons.

 

Martina Borg is also part of the Maltese Women National Team where she made 43 appearances and scored 5 goals.

 

Martina will also be in charge of our U17’s Female Team and will be the Academy Sports Psychologist.

Rodolfo Soares is back in Black & White

We are delighted to announce the signing of 37 year old Brazilian defender, Rodolfo Soares.

 

Due to difficult circumstances and several suspensions in European competitions, the club has decided to sign experienced defender Rodolfo Soares, who will surely be a massive asset to help the team in achieving it’s objectives in these competitions.

 

The Brazilian joined our club for the first time in Season 2011/12 and spent 7 years playing in our colours, played over 200 matches and scored 19 goals.

 

We would like to welcome Rodolfo back to the club and wish him the best of luck in his spell back in Black and White.

Keith Gouder is the new Women’s Seniors coach

We would like to announce that Mr. Keith Gouder is the new coach of Hibernians F.C. Women. He signed a 3 year contract with our club.

 

Keith started his coaching career at Msida St. Joseph where he coached both at Academy and Senior level, before joining the Sliema Wanderers F.C. Academy.

 

In season 2012/13, Gouder became the Hibernians F.C. Women coach for the first time, where in three seasons with our club he won 3 League Titles, 2 Knockout competitions and 3 Super Cups. In total he managed our team for 60 matches where he won 54 of them, drew 3 and lost 3.

 

In season 2015/16 his team managed to win the BOV Women’s League unbeaten and he also managed to win the first ever point for a Maltese Women’s Team in the UEFA Women’s Champions League in a 3-3 draw against Faroe Islands side KI Klaksvik.

 

In 2016, he joined Swieqi United F.C. Women as their head coach, where he stayed until Season 2021/22, winning the Second Division in the process in his first year as coach.

Justin Haber is back

We would like to announce the signing of 40 year old goalkeeper Justin Haber.

 

Born on 9th June, 1981, Justin started his career at Floriana F.C. before joining Bulgarian side Dobrudzha on loan in 1998. In 2002, he joined Birkirkara F.C. where he spent 3 years. After, he joined French side US Quevilly in his second spell out of his birth country.

 

After having a short spell with RE Virton in Belgium, he then returned to Malta to join Marsaxlokk F.C. in 2007. After that, Justin had great spells at foreign clubs such as Chaidari, Sheffield United, Ferencvaros and Kerkyra, before once again he returned in Malta to join Mosta F.C. in 2012.

 

Since then, Justin always played in Malta with several clubs such as Birkirkara, Hibernians, Floriana, Gzira United and Santa Lucia. The former international goalkeeper also made 55 appearances for the Maltese National Team.

Lorenzo Fonseca is a new Hibernians player

Hibernians F.C. are pleased to announce that 24 year old Cape Verde international defender Lorenzo Fonseca has signed for the club.

 

The young defender started his career with Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam, where he spent the majority of his youth career, before joining Portuguese side Academica Coimbra in July 2021. In the January 2022 transfer window, he joined BOV Premier League side Santa Lucia F.C.
