A great performance from our women’s team in the penultimate game of the season as captain Dorianne Thuema led the way, scoring 5 goals for the second time this season, with Ylenia Carabott, Jade Flask, Kayleigh Chetcuti and Francesca Chircop also getting on the score-sheet.

 

The first half ended 4-0, with a hat trick from Theuma and Carabott getting her first of the game.

 

Right after the restart, Ylenia Carabott completed her brace with a well taken header. Dorianne Theuma managed to score 2 more, along with Jade Flask. The 10-0 final score was completed with subs Kayleigh Chetcuti and Francesca Chircop also contributing with a goal each.

 

Yesterday’s result brings our tally of goals scored to 79, with a total of 13 different players getting on the score sheet so far this season!

 

It is also very pleasing to note that along with Shona Zammit (11), Emma Xuereb (10), Francesca Chircop (11) and Jade Flask (8) have recorded their highest return of goals in their careers to date!

 

This bodes well as Hibs are just a point below Birkirkara and know that only a win will clinch the title.
