An extra time strike gave Hibernians a vital win over Mgarr United.

Mgarr took an early lead when Brenda Borg fired home from inside the box. Despite constant pressure from Hibernians, Mgarr held on to their lead up until the 70th minute when Shona Zammit headed home the equalizer.

Hibernians kept probing for the winner but found Mgarr’s keeper Patricia Ebejer in almost unbeatable form. The winner finally came in extra time when Hibernians Jade Flask shot from the edge of the box and although Ebejer got a hand to it, she couldn’t prevent the goal.
